AfroGem Community Guidelines
Effective Date: 05th May, 2025
At AfroGem, we are committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and culturally enriching environment for all families, children, and supporters of African heritage in Europe. These Community Guidelines reflect our values and outline the expectations we have for all members who interact with our platform, events, and community spaces.
Respect and Dignity
Treat every individual—especially children—with respect, kindness, and empathy. Celebrate our cultural diversity while promoting unity.
Safe Interactions
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, hate speech, or any form of discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, religion, language, or ability. Such behavior may result in removal from our community.
Family-Focused Conduct
AfroGem is a family-centered platform. All activities, language, and content must be appropriate for children and respectful to parents and guardians.
Privacy and Protection
Respect the privacy of all community members. Do not share photos, videos, or personal information of others without utmost consent. Follow all relevant data protection regulations
Constructive Engagement
Share ideas, concerns, and feedback respectfully. We encourage open communication, as long as it's solution-oriented and supportive of our collective goals.
Authentic Participation
All information provided during registration and interactions should be truthful. Misrepresentation of identity, age, or parental authority will not be tolerated.
Cultural Integrity
Engage with AfroGem’s cultural programs and events in a spirit of learning and pride. Be mindful not to mock, misappropriate, or misrepresent African traditions or heritage.
Event Etiquette
Participants are expected to arrive on time, participate actively, and behave appropriately during all AfroGem-organized activities. Disruptive behavior may lead to expulsion from events or programs.
Volunteer and Parental Involvement
We value the contributions of volunteers and parents. Collaboration should remain constructive and supportive of AfroGem’s mission. Conflicts should be resolved through appropriate channels.
Reporting and Accountability
Concerns or violations should be reported promptly to AfroGem via info@afrogem.de. All reports are taken seriously and treated confidentially. Repeated violations may result in suspension or permanent exclusion.
